This resource offers two different questions, in which children can estimate and represent numbers to 10,000 on different number lines. Both questions offer multiple solutions and allow children to use mathematical thinking to explain their answers.

This resource is ideal for paired or small group work. We would recommend using this following our varied fluency and reasoning and problem-solving resources available in this lesson. This will enable children to have the skills required to tackle these trickier problem-solving tasks. An example answer is provided for children to compare their answers to as well.
