Use this Year 4 Punctuating Direct Speech Mixed Activity worksheet to support children with their understanding of Direct Speech. With three varied fluency, one reasoning and two application questions, children are given the opportunity to practise answering questions based around direct speech and using the appropriate punctuation.

This resource would make an excellent assessment for teaching staff to use to gauge what the children understand about direct speech. This punctuation worksheet includes useful answers to help with self or peer marking.
