Year 4 Titanic narrative reading comprehension is an interesting resource for your pupils to use. The Unsinkable Giant reading activity contains an extract from a narrative recounting the days of the musician, Frederick, and his time aboard the 'Unsinkable' Titanic. As well as being a newspaper report, this resource is also a great reading comprehension activity that includes a wide range of questions covering all eight reading content domains to help your children develop, improve and practice their reading skills.

With our reading skills resources, you have the flexibility to decide how to use the text and the questions: you can give the whole text and all of the questions, target questions for specific domains, or go page by page using only questions that are related to that part of the text. We've also included a time-saving answer matrix to make marking easier and for making self or peer marking more accessible.
