The task comes in the form of a discussion problem, which encourages children to work collaboratively and to discuss the problem using a systematic approach and mathematical language. So once comfortable estimating capacity, set them off in a pair or in groups and really get them thinking. A handy answer sheet is provided so that children can self-mark or use the answer to prompt more discussion.
