This Year 5 Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers (Recap) Reasoning and Problem Solving resource will give pupils an opportunity to apply their knowledge in this small step.

The first question requires them to identify whether an answer is correct and explain their reasoning. The second and third questions are problem solving questions which pull together children's knowledge of improper fractions and mixed numbers to reach possible solutions.
