This Year 5 Multiples Supporting Activity is a fantastic way to develop children's understanding practically. Pupils will be engaged and able to apply their multiplication skills by generating numbers with a dice or digit cards and then making an array with counters to demonstrate a multiple of that number.

This activity could be done in pairs or small groups. Once children understand the rules then they could play this game without adult support.

Curriculum Objectives

  • Identify multiples and factors, including finding all factor pairs of a number, and common factors of two numbers
  • Solve problems involving multiplication and division including using their knowledge of factors and multiples, squares and cubes
