Are your children prepared for interpreting data on line graphs? No yet? Well, download this Year 5 Problems with Line Graphs Prior Learning activity. This resource covers an objective from year 4 with questions about the skills required for sum, comparison and difference questions styles, that will prepare children for the learning that takes place in this year 5 lesson. Our resource has two varied fluency questions which contain multiple questions about two different sets of data and a reasoning and problem solving style question with multiple tasks to complete. All these questions will help your children to put their statistics skills into practice.

This is ideal to use at the beginning of your lesson to assess children's knowledge and understanding before moving them onto their main learning. Alternatively, this could be used in a small intervention group as a recap activity or to offer further support for children who find this a tricky concept.
