Allow children to get to grips with reading and interpreting line graphs by downloading our Year 5 Problems with Line Graphs fluency resource. We've created three easy-to-follow and engaging varied fluency questions, and provided two of each type of question, for children to apply their skills to. This resource has also been differentiated three ways to support all learners. Here is a brief guide to how our differentiation is suitable for each level of challenge:
Developing: Questions to support solving problems using line graphs showing one set of data using scales in increments of 1 or 2, where all increments are shown.
Expected: Questions to support solving problems using line graphs showing up to two sets of data using any scale where all increments are shown. Some points may fall between marked increments.
Greater Depth: Questions to support solving problems using line graphs showing up to two sets of data using any scale where some increments are missing. Points may fall between marked increments.
Our varied fluency resources are ideal for use in class following your teaching input. They can be accessed independently for children to secure their knowledge of measuring in different units of measure. Alternatively, you could use this as a homework activity or an intervention resource to further children's learning or for those who might require extra support.
