
Use this Year 5 Read and Interpret Transport Timetables Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to give your class a chance to use transport timetables to solve problems.
There are two reasoning questions which give them more practice interpreting timetables as they check the accuracy of a variety of statements. The problem solving question requires them to think of two different ways to create a timetable given certain conditions.
Timetables are presented with both 12-hour and 24-hour digital clock formats and each question has two parallel parts. These are presented on separate sheets with an answer page on a third sheet to assist busy teachers and children who are marking their own work.
A varied fluency resource is also available for this small step.
