Use this Year 5 Round to the Nearest 1,000 (Recap) Reasoning and Problem Solving resource to give your class another chance to solve problems related to rounding.

There are two reasoning questions on this worksheet which test children's ability to spot whether a method and an answer are correct, and justify their thinking. The problem solving question will test their understanding of the rules of rounding as well as odd/even numbers and place value. Bringing all those elements together, they will need to think of multiple solutions to the problems posed.

An answer sheet is provided for teachers and children who may be marking their own work.
