This Year 5 Translation Supporting Activity has been created to give those who need a little bit more support in or out of the classroom with translating shapes. The activity can be done in groups, and is therefore great to use as part of an intervention or simply as a task in class. Prompts and instructions have also been provided so that any supporting adult can lead the task too.


Curriculum Objectives

  • Identify, describe and represent the position of a shape following a reflection or translation, using the appropriate language, and know that the shape has not changed
