With our Year 5 Trapped Reader's Theatre pack, you can help children develop their reading fluency, and ultimately, their reading comprehension skills. We have provided a timetable in the pack for you to follow each week. The timetable shows you when to model good reading, when to allow children to repeat and follow, and when children can begin to develop expression, understand tone and volume, and truly get to grips with the text.

Also included with the pack is a close reading exercise, which questions children's understanding of how tone and expression affect the text, a phrase-marking sheet to encourage children to add their own expression to the text, and a feedback rubric, so that children can visualise the progress they've had across the week.
