Use this Year 5 Understand Percentages Varied Fluency resource to help your pupils understand that percentage means 'out of 100' or 'parts per hundred'. Each of the three questions supports them with a visual representation of percentage, whether this is with a hundred square or a rod divided into ten parts. The rods help children to explore percentages that are multiples of ten.

Each question has two similar parts to promote fluency and an answer sheet is included to help busy teachers and pupils who are marking their own work.
