Support understanding of how to calculate angles on a straight line by using this resource.

This Year 6 Calculate Angles on a Straight Line Varied Fluency worksheet helps children use the knowledge that all angles on a straight line add to 180 degrees to calculate the value of missing angles. Children will write four statements to match given information about angles on a straight line, then choose the size of a missing angle from available possible answers. Finally, they will calculate the size of a missing angle. All answers are also included so that marking is as easy as possible!

Note: column A uses numbers that are multiples of 5 and column B uses a range of numbers.

A reasoning and problem solving resource is also available for this small step.

Curriculum Objectives

  • Recognise angles where they meet at a point, are on a straight line, or are vertically opposite, and find missing angles
