Support understanding of how to classify and compare 3D shapes by using this resource.
This Year 6 Classify and Compare 3D Shapes Varied Fluency worksheet recaps key learning on properties of 3D shapes from previous year groups ready to be built on in subsequent lessons within this block. Children will match 3D shapes to statements about their properties (faces, edges and vertices) in the first question, then complete a table to describe properties in question 2. Finally, they will sort given 3D shapes into a Carroll diagram. All answers are also included so that marking is as easy as possible!
A reasoning and problem solving resource is also available for this small step.
Note: this resource uses 4 sides of A4 (1 sheet for questions 1a, 2a and 3a; 1 sheet for questions 1b, 2b and 3b; 1 sheet for answers 1a, 2a and 3a; 1 sheet for answers 1b, 2b and 3b).
