Immerse your children in a world of word classes with this Year 6 Identifying Word Classes Application worksheet. With an image of a zoo for support, children are asked to write a paragraph describing an event. They must include nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions and determiners.

This engaging activity can be completed independently, in pairs or as a teacher-led activity. It could also be used in class or at home to give children the opportunity to apply their learning.
