In this Year 6 Percentage of an Amount - One Step Teaching PowerPoint, pupils will calculate using bar models and equivalent fractions. In this step, the learning focuses on simple percentages, such as 1%, 25% and 50%, and those with equivalent unit fractions, such as 12.5%.

The learning is broken into Let’s Learn sections, where new learning and vocabulary is modelled and Let’s Practise sections, where pupils immediately apply what has been taught in small sections.
