This Year 6 Ratio Problems Teaching PowerPoint to develop pupils' understanding of the ratio and proportion topic. Pupils will use their understanding of multiplicative relationships to solve ratio multi-step problems. They will consider how to find unknown amounts and totals using given ratios and bar models.

The learning is broken into Let’s Learn sections, where new learning and vocabulary is modelled and Let’s Practise sections, where pupils immediately apply what has been taught in small sections.

To deepen understanding, this resource includes a reasoning question and a problem solving question to give children the opportunity to apply knowledge in new contexts.
