Revise recognising formal and informal language before moving on to using it with this Year 6 Using Formal and Informal Styles Prior Learning worksheet. With three varied fluency, two reasoning and one application question, children can refamiliarise themselves with formal and informal language before they begin to use it.

This worksheet would be a great resource to use for those children who are less confident with using informal and formal language. Alternatively, this resource could be used as a way to identify any misconceptions children may have.
