Stig of the Dump Chapter 6 Comprehension

Stig of the Dump Chapter 6 Comprehension

Stig of the Dump Chapter 6 Comprehension for Whole Class Guided Reading includes differentiated questions and activities based on the fourth chapter of the popular novel by Clive King. We recommend using this novel with Year 3 & Year 4. In this chapter, Barney is left at home on his own. He is outside climbing a tree when two men approach the house, thinking no one is home. One of them enters the house so Barney sneaks off to go and get Stig to help him catch the thieves. Barney and Stig confront the men as they are leaving but they trick Barney into thinking they were fixing the television. Stig scares them so they run away and Barney finds they have taken his granny's belongings. Barney tries to take the evidence to the police but it ends up falling off the cliff and into the pit. Granny rings the police although they don't believe Barney's story. Eventually, they find the stolen items in Stig's den and Barney receives a reward for his help.
