Discussion points for teachers

    1. Use the key to help Jib work out how many points he has scored. Discuss how many tens and ones make up Jib’s number.
    2. How do you think Mag could represent his score using the same key? Discuss whether there is more than one way to represent Mag’s number using the key.
    3. Help Jib and Mag to match the cards and win the game. Discuss the different ways in which the numbers have been partitioned (for example, not just using tens and ones).
    4. Help Jib find three different ways of partitioning each number using the same key as before. Discuss different ways of partitioning the given numbers using both conventional and unconventional methods of partitioning.
