The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark Chapter 2 Comprehension Whole Class Guided Reading

The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark Chapter 2 Comprehension for Whole Class Guided Reading includes differentiated questions and activities based on chapter one of the popular story by Jill Tomlinson.* We recommend using this novel with Year 2. In chapter 2, Plop discovers that dark can be kind. After the firework display, Plop's father goes hunting for their food. Plop says he wants to go hunting but can't because he is seeing stars in his eyes from the fireworks. His parents hunt all night long and when morning comes, they are ready for bed. Plop has slept through the night so he goes to find out some more about the dark. He visits with an old lady who says dark is kind because it hides her wrinkles and helps her remember when she was younger. Plop flies back to his tree and tells his mother, but he still doesn't like the dark.
