The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark Chapter 3 Comprehension Whole Class Guided Reading

The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark Chapter 3 Comprehension for Whole Class Guided Reading includes differentiated questions and activities based on chapter three of the popular story by Jill Tomlinson.* We recommend using this novel with Year 2. In chapter 3, Plop sees some boys playing down by another bonfire. He thinks they may have more fireworks so he goes to visit them. One boy, who is left to look after the campfire, tells Plop that the dark is fun. He explains that he and his friends enjoy playing games like Hide and Seek in the dark. Plop still does not agree with him but he stays with the Boy Scouts while they sing songs around the campfire. Plop tries some hot cocoa and potatoes before he flies back to his tree. He tells his mum about his adventure but says he STILL does not like the dark.
