No formal objective. However, these words are taken from the year 3/4 non-statutory spelling list and the focus is given to vocabulary of abstract concepts in line with the Spoken Language Guidance.

Developing Choose a noun to complete a simple sentence. Choice of two words given in a word bank.
Expected Choose two nouns to complete two different types of sentences. Four words given in a word bank.
Greater Depth Choose nouns to complete sentences of varying sentence types. Four words given in a word bank.

Developing Explain when a proper noun has been used correctly in a simple sentence.
