National Curriculum Objective
Year 3 and 4 English: (4G7.1) Standard English forms for verb inflections instead of local spoken forms [for example, we were instead of we was, or I did instead of I done]
Differentiation:
Beginner Was/were in simple sentences. Aimed at Year 3 Secure/Year 4 Emerging.
Easy Was/were in more complex sentences (ambiguous - linked to the way they talk). Aimed at Year 3 Mastery/Year 4 Secure.
