This KS2 Who Let the Gods Out? Chapter 8 Whole Class Guided Reading Pack has differentiated questions and activities to be used in a whole-class reading session based on chapter seven of the popular novel by Maz Evans.
In this chapter, Virgo and Elliot find Prisoner Forty-two. The prisoner appears to be an old, frail man for whom Elliot feels compassion. The man asks for some water and although Virgo strongly objects, Elliot complies. The prisoner then convinces Elliot that he can help his mum if Elliot frees him. Again, Virgo tries to stop him, but Elliot successfully frees him. As he does, Prisoner Forty-two visibly changes into a daemon.
This pack contains colour-coded questions to ensure clear differentiation, as well as differentiated challenge tasks focused upon character descriptions, drawing comparisons and punctuation.
