Year 3 Units of Time Teaching PPT

A Year 3 Units of Time Teaching PowerPoint that explores the different units of time and when we might use them. Pupils will begin by recapping the definition of each unit of time, before ordering them from the shortest to the longest. Children will estimate how long particular activities might take, along with the unit of time they could be measured in. We've included a selection of fluency tasks to help assess learning along the way, as well as two reasoning and problem-solving questions for children to apply their skills within different contexts. We recommend this resource to run alongside practical activities such as using stopwatches and clocks to practise recording timed tasks.
