This Year 5 Finding Unknown Lengths IWB activity checks pupils' understanding of measuring and finding perimeter to find unknown lengths of a shape. Pupils will determine the possible lengths of the longer side of a rectangle within given parameters, identify the missing lengths of three different shapes and determine if a statement is true or false.

  1. Shape C has a length of 16cm. We are given two measurements of 6cms, making the missing measurement 4cm. 6+6+4=16
