Differentiation:

Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Varied Fluency)
Developing Add a suffix to each word provided to complete the sentences. The root words and suffixes are provided.
Expected Add a suffix to each word provided to complete the sentences. The root words are given but the suffixes are not.
Greater Depth Write a word containing a suffix to complete the sentences. The definition of the missing word is given.

Questions 2, 5 and 8 (Varied Fluency)
Developing For each group of words, match the prefix which can be added to make new words.
Expected For each group of words, identify the prefix which can be added to make new words.
Greater Depth For each group of words, identify the prefix which can be added to make new words. Give one more example for each group.

Questions 3, 6 and 9 (Reasoning and Problem Solving)
Developing Explain how the different prefixes change the meaning of the sentences. The focus word is underlined. A cloze sentence is provided as a scaffold.
