Application and Reasoning
Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Application)
Developing Use the six given words to write a simple sentence that contains the prefix ‘re-’ or ‘over-’.
Expected Use the eight given words to write a sentence that contains the prefix ‘re-’ or ‘over-’.
Greater Depth Use the ten given words to write a sentence that contains the prefixes ‘re-’ and ‘over-’.

Questions 2, 5 and 8 (Application)
Developing Rewrite the sentence using a specified prefix.
Expected Choose the correct prefix and rewrite the sentence.
Greater Depth Choose the correct prefix and rewrite the sentence. Some amendments to the sentence may be required and some vocabulary may be unfamiliar.

Questions 3, 6 and 9 (Reasoning)
Developing Explain whether four words have been sorted into a table correctly according to whether the prefix ‘re-’ or ‘over-’ can be added to them.
Expected Explain whether five words have been sorted into a Venn diagram correctly according to whether the prefix ‘re-’ or ‘over-’ can be added to them.
Greater Depth Explain whether six words have been sorted into a Venn diagram correctly according to whether the prefix ‘re-’ or ‘over-’ can be added to them. Some vocabulary may be unfamiliar and a dictionary may be required to check the meaning of words.
