This Ten Green Bottles Expressive Arts and Design activity is adult-led with a clear and easy to follow structure. There are three activities which include creating a musical bottles, printing pictures with bottles and colour mixing. A session could involve all the activities or a selection based on the needs of the children.

Development Matters and Early Learning Goal Links:
3 and 4 year olds
Remember and sing entire songs.
Play instruments with increasing control to express their feelings and ideas.
Explore different materials freely, to develop their ideas about how to use them and what to make.
Explore colour and colour-mixing.

Children in Reception
Sing in a group or on their own, increasingly matching the pitch and following the melody.
Explore and engage in music making and dance, performing solo or in groups.
Create collaboratively, sharing ideas, resources and skills.

Early Learning Goal
Sing a range of well-known nursery rhymes and songs.
Perform songs, rhymes, poems and stories with others, and, when appropriate, try to move in time with music.
Safely use and explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function.
