If you've got students who have flown through their work on equivalent fractions and are looking for reasoning and problem-solving questions with a little extra complexity, hand them this Year 3 Equivalent Fractions 3 challenge activity! The two questions on the sheet are designed to make children think and apply their knowledge in trickier situations. The resource works really well as a group discussion task, but there's no reason a child couldn't do it alone, or with an adult as their discussion partner. It can also be done at school or at home.
This resource comes with an example answer sheet, to make checking your pupils' answers a little quicker and easier.
