This EYFS All About the Numbers 1 to 10 IWB activity includes questions that explore the numbers one to ten. Pupils need to drag and drop numerals to the corresponding number of objects, answer true or false about a counting statement, fill in the blanks by counting the image provided, place the correct number of boats in the water tray and place the correct number of toys in the toy box.

3 and 4 year olds
(M-1) Develop fast recognition of up to 3 objects, without having to count them individually (‘subitising’).
(M-3) Say one number for each item in order: 1,2,3,4,5.
(M-5) Show ‘finger numbers’ up to 5.
Children in Reception
(M-23) Link the number symbol (numeral) with its cardinal number value.
(M-27) Explore the composition of numbers to 10.
Early Learning Goal
- Have a deep understanding of number to 10, including the composition of each number.
- Subitise (recognise quantities without counting) up to 5.
- Automatically recall (without reference to rhymes, counting or other aids) number bonds up to 5 (including subtraction facts) and some number bonds to 10, including double facts.
