Goodnight Mister Tom Chapter 3 Comprehension

Goodnight Mister Tom Chapter 3 Comprehension

This Goodnight Mister Tom Chapter 3 Comprehension pack for Whole Class Guided Reading includes differentiated questions and activities based on the third chapter of the novel by Michelle Magorian. In the third chapter, Willie wakes up having wet the bed and feeling sick. Tom finds him in the morning huddled under the bed and cleans him up. Willie feels embarrassed and is fearful of what the other villagers will think if they see his bedding out on the washing line. Tom helps Willie write a short postcade to send home and they walk into the village to send it. Tom calls at the Doctor's house and picks up some ointment for Willie's sores as well as asking how to reduce his sickness. Tom considers building an air-raid shelter for Willie, just in case the war comes to the countryside. We recommend using this novel with Year 5 & Year 6.
