Easy Text includes simple sentences. Sentences are linked with simple conjunctions. Children are required to identify examples of names, ages, locations, use of first person and dates within the autobiography. Aimed at Year 4 Secure/Year 5 Emerging.

Tricky Text includes multi-clausal sentences that are linked with a range of conjunctions. Children are required to identify examples of names, ages, locations, use of first person, dates and past tense within the autobiography. Aimed at Year 4 Mastery/5 Developing.

Expert Text includes multi-clausal sentences that are linked with a range of conjunctions. The text includes rhetorical sentences, fronted adverbials and brackets. Children are required to identify examples of names, ages, locations, use of first person, dates, past tense and adjectives to describe people within the autobiography. Aimed at Year 5 Secure/Year 6 Emerging.
