Year 1 Find a Quarter of a Shape or Object
This Year 1 Find a Quarter of a Shape or Object lesson covers the prior learning of making equal groups, before moving onto the main skill of finding a quarter of shapes or objects.
The lesson starts with a prior learning worksheet to check pupils’ understanding. The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.

Mathematics Year 1: (1M1) Compare, describe and solve practical problems for mass/weight [for example, heavy/light, heavier than, lighter than, half, quarter]
