Year 3 Compare Angles

This Year 3 Compare Angles lesson covers the prior learning of finding right angles in shapes, before moving onto the main skill of comparing angles.

The lesson starts with a prior learning worksheet to check pupils’ understanding. If they need more practice, you can choose other resources for that step. The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.

National Curriculum Objective

Mathematics Year 3: (3G4b) Identify right angles, recognise that two right angles make a half turn, three make three quarters of a turn and four a complete turn; identify whether angles are greater than or less than a right angle.
