Multiply Fractions by Fractions Lesson
This Year 6 Multiply Fractions by Fractions lesson covers the prior learning of fractions of an amount, before moving onto the main skill of multiplying fractions by fractions.
The lesson starts with a prior learning worksheet to check pupils’ understanding. The interactive lesson slides recap the prior learning before moving on to the main skill. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning by completing an engaging extension task.

Mathematics Year 6: (6F5a) Multiply simple pairs of proper fractions, writing the answer in its simplest form [for example, 1/4 x 1/2 = 1/8
