This Guided Reading Pack is linked to Remembrance Day in the form of letters sent to and from soldiers on the frontline.

National Curriculum Objectives
Reading: English Y3/4: Drawing inferences such as inferring characters’ feelings, thoughts and motives from their actions, and justifying inferences with evidence
SPAG: English Y3/4: Standard English forms for verb inflections instead of local spoken forms [for example, we were instead of we was, or I did instead of I done]
Other: History KS2: A significant turning point in British history, for example, the first railways or the Battle of Britain
