English Year 1: (1G3) Sequencing sentences to form short narratives

Differentiation:

Varied Fluency
Developing Questions to support recognising sentences that end with a full stop. Using CVC, CVCC or CCVC words including single consonant, vowel sounds or digraphs. Some sentences include the conjunction ‘and’.
Expected Questions to support recognising sentences that end with full stops or question marks. Using phonetically decodable words, including all phonic sounds. Some sentences include the conjunctions ‘and’, ‘but’ and ‘or’.
Greater Depth Questions to support recognising sentences that end with full stops, question marks or exclamation marks. Using some words that can not be easily decoded. Sentences include the conjunctions ‘and’, ‘but’ and ‘or’.

Application and Reasoning
Questions 1, 4 and 7 (Reasoning)
Developing Explain if a complete sentence has been used. Using sentences that end with full stops. Sentences include CVC, CVCC or CCVC words including single consonant, vowel sounds or digraphs.
Expected Explain if a complete sentence has been used. Using sentences that end with full stops or question marks. Sentences include phonetically decodable words, including all phonic sounds, conjunctions ‘and’, ‘but’ and ‘or’.
