Use this Andromeda Galaxy challenge sheet to support and assess pupils' growing confidence with fraction calculations relating to the 1-12 times tables. It includes three challenges:

• The main challenge presents a range of fraction calculations.

• The Shining Bright challenge supports children by presenting the facts in a systematic order.

• The Stellar Performance challenge asks pupils to recall worded fraction facts, infer with word problems and complete a number grid.

  This resource could be used as an intervention, help to boost a class’ recall, or work as a whole-school program that children can work through from Year 1 to Year 6. The resource includes a certificate to encourage participation through the 'Reach for the Universe' challenges. Once children have completed this challenge, they can travel to the end of the Universe by using their times table recall with percentages.
