Use this KS1 and KS2 Fractions of Amounts Tri-Jigsaw Activity to help children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 practise finding fractions of an amount. The resource is differentiated six ways, meaning that if you have children in Year 2, they can practise finding halves of numbers up to 50, but if you have children in Year 4 or higher, they can practise finding a range of fractions of a variety of numbers including decimals. There is also something for children in between these ranges! Download today to check out the differentiation in detail, and allow your children great opportunities to find fractions of amounts. These tri-jigsaws can be used in class, as an intervention, or can even be sent out as homework. Why not print out a large copy of these resources and complete them as a class?

Curriculum Objectives

  • Write simple fractions for example, 1/2 of 6 = 3
  • Solve problems involving increasingly harder fractions to calculate quantities, and fractions to divide quantities, including non-unit fractions where the answer is a whole number
