Give your class the chance to practice key reading skills by using this Key Stage 1 Find and Copy a Word Reading Test Practice. This resource includes three or four different text types for children to use to find words that mean the same as another word, or words that tell you how someone is feeling, or how something is done. We've differentiated this resource into three levels of challenge to offer you both choice and challenge in your class.
This resource is the perfect way to support children to practice this key skill and become familiar with the language used in these question types. We'd recommend children complete the tasks as an independent activity in class or as part of an intervention group. The resources can be used all at once, or spread them out throughout the year to incorporate them into assessment periods. There's a handy answer sheet for each differentiation level so make marking easier for you too.
