Use this KS1 True or False Statements Reading Test Practice to give your pupils the opportunity to practise answering true or false questions about texts they have read.
The activity comes with three levels of differentiation:
Beginner Includes 3 different text types (narrative, diary extract and instructions) followed by questions requiring children to identify 6 true or false statements using information from the text. Aimed at Year 1 Secure.
Easy Includes 3 different text types (narrative, diary extract and instructions) followed by questions requiring children to identify 8 true or false statements using information from the text. Aimed at Year 2 Developing.
Tricky Includes 4 different text types (narrative, diary extract, instructions and a non-chronological report) followed by questions requiring children to identify 10 true or false statements using information from the text. Aimed at Year 2 Secure.
The activity covers the following National Curriculum objectives:English Year 1: Understand both the books they can already read accurately and fluently and those they listen to by checking that the text makes sense to them as they read, and correcting inaccurate reading
