This KS1 Rise and Read Dali resource includes four reading activities about the famous artist, Salvador Dali. It is suitable for use in Years 1 and 2 and can be displayed on the whiteboard as early morning work, used in guided reading sessions or shared during assemblies. However you choose to use it, children will develop their reading skills while learning more about this exciting and well-known figure.

The pack includes an information text, a diary entry, an image and a short narrative. These are followed by questions that focus on a range of reading skills: purpose, retrieval, inference, vocabulary and prediction. There is also an assessment-style question which focuses on choosing true and false statements based on the text.

This resource does not require any printing, as it has been specially designed for clear and simple display on the whiteboard.
