Our KS2 Courageous Individuals resource has been designed to help children learn about the value of courage and significant individuals such as Amelia Earhart and her ground-breaking solo flight from Hawaii to California, Chiune Sugihara and the risks he took to help save the lives of thousands of Jews fleeing Nazi Germany, and even Roselle the Labrador retriever who led her owner to safety during the September 11th World Trade Centre attack.
It looks at what it means to show courage and how it's unique to each individual too. This resource also reminds children that it's important to act within the law and that we don't hurt other people.
This resource would be suitable for whole KS2 assemblies or as part of a class assembly.
