Challenge KS2 pupils to explore the global journey of Fairtrade products with this engaging map and research activity. Children investigate where products such as coffee, bananas, cocoa, tea, sugar, mangoes and cotton are grown, identify their countries of origin on a world map and research the climates needed for each crop. Pupils also compare growing conditions, consider why certain products cannot be grown in the UK and trace a product’s journey from farm to supermarket, developing their geography, research and critical thinking skills.
