This KS2 Rise and Read Michelangelo resource includes four reading activities focused on this famous artist, sculptor and architect. It includes two information texts, an image and a recount. Each is followed by two questions that test skills such as retrieval, inference and prediction. The final text has an assessment-style question to support test practice.

This resource could be used in the morning, after lunch or as a great starter to a reading session. It will simultaneously expand pupils' understanding of one of the world's greatest artists whilst developing their ability to analyse texts and images.
