This KS2 Rise and Read resource includes four reading activities all about the Super Bowl. It is suitable for use in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and could be displayed on the whiteboard as early morning work, used in reading sessions or even as a fun stimulus in assemblies. However you choose to use it, children will not only sharpen their reading skills but also learn more about one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

The pack includes two information texts, a diary entry and an image. These lead to questions which focus on a variety of reading skills: retrieval, purpose, vocabulary, inference and prediction. There is also an assessment-style question which encourages children to sequence key moments of the text in chronological order.

This resource does not require any printing, as it has been specially designed to be displayed on the whiteboard.
