This KS2 Rise and Read Van Gogh resource includes four reading activities focused on the famous artist, Van Gogh. It is suitable for use in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and could be displayed on the whiteboard as early morning work, used in reading lessons or even as a stimulus in assemblies. However you choose to use it, children will not only sharpen their reading skills but also learn more about Van Gogh's life and works.

The pack includes two information texts, a letter and an image stimulus. These are followed by a range of questions that explore different reading skills, including retrieval, understanding purpose, vocabulary, inference and prediction. There is also an assessment style question with a focus on retrieval.

This resource does not require any printing as it has been specially designed to be displayed on the whiteboard.
